Margaritas & Mutts is the Humane Society of Fremont County's signature annual fundraiser — and our largest event of the year. Formerly known as Rescue Runway, this beloved Fremont County tradition has a fresh new name and format, but the same big heart behind it.

Set along the scenic Arkansas River at White Water Bar & Grill in Cañon City, this relaxed daytime celebration brings the community together for signature margaritas, delicious bites, and plenty of furry friends. You'll meet Fremont Humane alumni and their human companions, and hear the stories of strength, survival, and second chances that inspire our mission every day.

Every dollar raised at Margaritas & Mutts goes directly to our emergency medical fund, which covers the treatment and care of the sick and injured animals that come through our doors. Your ticket helps ensure that every animal in our care receives the medical attention they deserve on their journey to a loving home.
